What better way to celebrate Jesus’ birth than with a birthday party! There are decorations, stories, party favors and cake as we lean into the joy of Christmas and Jesus’ birth. Intentionally held in the afternoon, this worship service is crafted with the energy and excitement of children in mind. While much of the service is geared to their participation, it remains a joyful Christmas worship experience for all ages with Holy Communion included.
Come celebrate the joy of Jesus’ birth at our 7:00pm festival worship service! Sing all your favorite hymns and carols, receive Holy Communion, and hear the message of hope and joy that comes with Jesus’ birth.
Come as you are for Christmas morning worship. An informal service of lessons and carols, you will hear the story of Jesus’ birth from the Bible, choose the hymns you want sing, and share Holy Communion. You are also invited to bring a gift that you received that is important for you as we offer a “Blessing of the Gifts” during the service.
On the last night of Jesus’ life, he shared a meal with his friends. Jesus ate with his disciples, and talked about what it means to truly love. On Maundy Thursday evening we gather to remember that Jesus offers a new commandment, that we are called to love one another. We share the Holy Communion meal and also hear God’s forgiveness.
In a worship service of light and shadows, we gather together at night to hear the story of Jesus’ death. The story is paused for the singing of hymns throughout. At the end of the service, you are invited to stay for as long as you wish, for prayer and/or to reverence the cross.
Come celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and the surprising, confusing moment that was. Sing all your favorite Easter hymns, hear the good news of new life in the world, join us for Holy Communion and celebrate the promise of Jesus' resurrection for us and the world. A special Children’s time in the midst of the service allows even our youngest participants to hear the story of Jesus’ resurrection and celebrate with us.
Pentecost Sunday celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit to the disciples following Jesus’ ascension into heaven. It is in some respects the birthday of the church. Join us as we explore how the Holy Spirit continues to work in each of us and in the church to build God’s kingdom in the here and now.
Though not a church calendar holiday, our annual Fall Kick-Off worship and picnic is a longstanding tradition. Join us for worship as we Kick-off Sunday school and other fall programing and stay for a picnic lunch where the kids can play on the playground or in the bounce house and everyone can participate in good food, games, and music.
The last Sunday of October we celebrate and remember the work of Martin Luther in forming the Lutheran Church and the power of the Holy Spirit. Reformation day is a celebration of the start of the early Lutheran Church, but for us, it is also a celebration of the youth in our congregation who are prepared to Affirm their baptism and confirm their faith. Those being confirmed choose scripture readings for the day and write a creed (a statement of faith) that they share with the congregation.
