Letter from God
I know you're mad at me right now. That's all right. People have been
mad at me before and will be again. Being mad is part of being human. My
son got mad, too. It's right to be mad: at injustice, for example, or at
the lack of charity.
You probably think that I am unjust and uncharitable when an airplane
goes down like that. All those people lost. The children, gone. It
doesn't seem right; it can't be loving. You ask, "Where was God?
Why would He allow that to happen?"
I allow it to happen because I allow you freedom. I could have kept
you on a string and made you dance all day without getting tired. I
could have moved your mouth for you and made you sing all night without
growing hoarse. I could have pulled a wire that would have let you soar
skyward and never fall. I could have but I didn't because I love
you too much. I want you to be free to decide when to dance and sing.
Free to determine when you will come to me in faith and hope.
Because you are free, some of you choose not to dance or sing. Some
of you select hatred over love, revenge over forgiveness, bombs over a
helping hand. As you choose, I watch. I do not disappear. I listen
for both the songs and the bombs. And I remember. "WHERE WAS
GOD?" you wonder. I was there. I whispered in the ear of a little
girl, "Don't be afraid, I am with you." I held the hand of a
businesswoman as tightly as she clutched mine. I cradled a pilot against
my shoulder as if he were a baby again. Amid the paralyzing fear I was
there, as I was with my son in the garden. Amid the unbearable pain, I
was there, as I was with him when he was whipped. Amid the terrible
realization that life was ending too soon, I was there, as I was when he
was hung on the cross and asked, like you, "My God, why have you
forsaken me?"
I had not forsaken him. I did not forsake those on the plane. I was
there as they fell and as they arose to eternal joy. I listened to their
anger, answered their questions and showed them why they had been
created. Not to end that way, but to live forever with me. In an
instant, they came into existence. As you did. In an instant, they left
this world. As you will. But beyond that last instant, I kept my
promise: a little girl dances...a businesswoman sings and a pilot keeps
his wings.
Forever.

ON
MONDAY…..ON TUESDAY
On
Monday there were people fighting against praying in schools
On Tuesday you would have been hard pressed to find a school where
someone was not praying.
On
Monday there were people were trying to separate each other by race,
sex, color and creed
On Tuesday they were all holding hands
On Monday we thought that we were secure
On Tuesday we learned better
On Monday we were talking about heroes as being athletes
On Tuesday we relearned what hero meant
On Monday people went to work at the World Trade Center as usual
On Tuesday they died
On Monday people were fighting the 10 commandments on government
property
On Tuesday the same people all said 'God help us all' while thinking
'Thou shall not kill'
On Monday people argued with their kids about picking up their room
On Tuesday the same people could not get home fast enough to hug their
kids
On Monday people picked up McDonalds for dinner
On Tuesday they stayed home
On Monday people were upset that their dry cleaning was not ready on
time
On Tuesday they were lining up to give blood for the dying
On Monday politicians argued about budget surpluses
On Tuesday, grief stricken, they sang 'God Bless America'
On Monday we worried about the traffic and getting to work late
On Tuesday we worried about a plane crashing into your house or place of
business
On Monday we were irritated that our rebate checks had not arrived
On Tuesday we saw people celebrating people dying in the USA
On Monday some children had solid families
On Tuesday they were orphans
On Monday the president was going to Florida to read to children
On Tuesday he returned to Washington to protect our children
On Monday we
emailed jokes
On Tuesday we did not
It is sadly ironic how it takes horrific events to place things into
perspective, but it
has. The lessons learned this week, the things we have taken for
granted,
the things that have been forgotten or overlooked, hopefully will never
be
forgotten
again.
On Monday - pray and be thankful
On Tuesday - pray and be thankful
On Wednesday - pray and be thankful
On Thursday - pray and be thankful
On Friday - pray and be thankful
On Saturday - pray and be thankful
On Sunday - pray and be thankful
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND AMERICANS - BE
PROUD !!
GOD BLESS AMERICA
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you."

Y Yourself last

| Consider this:
Had the two jetliners hit the towers in the lower 25% of the
buildings, it would have fallen sooner and trapped many more persons
above and on the ground with no path to safety. As it was, many were
able to escape that would have otherwise died. In addition, the
buildings would have toppled as trees falling in the forest, taking out
more buildings and people as well.
We could have very well seen a domino effect of buildings falling and
certainly the crushing of many more buildings with loss of life measured
in the hundreds of thousands.
Considering the first plane's trajectory, had the buildings toppled
in this manner, the Federal Reserve Bank below would have been
destroyed. A great deal of the international gold reserves are
kept in this bank as well as key banking functions. International
banking would have been dealt a serious blow, possibly rendering the
entire international financial community powerless.
Had the plane that hit the Pentagon been just a few feet higher in
altitude (perhaps a little as 25 feet) and hit into the center of the
Pentagon, rather than the outer edge, it would have destroyed the A and
B rings where all the Joint Chief's of Staff's offices and all high
ranking military officials were situated. In one quick blow, the
governing body of our military would have ceased to exist and the most
powerful military in the world would be without effective leadership.
Had the two or three heroic men in the fourth plane not tried to
overcome the hijacking crew and ultimately lead to the plane's crash, it
may have very well made it 's target. In time I think we will find that
to have been the Capital building (not the White House). Congress was in
session and this plane could have obliterated most of our legislators.
Now consider this:
International gold reserves destroyed,
International Banking rendered impotent, the financial center of this
country destroyed (not merely crippled), Military and federal government
leadership gone...what would we have? I shudder to think.
So when you hear someone ask: "How could
God allow this?"-- consider |
| One by Cheryl Sawyer As the soot and dirt and ash rained down,
We became one color.
As we carried each other down the stairs of the burning building
We became one class.
As we lit candles of waiting and hope
We became one generation.
As the firefighters and police officers fought their way into the
inferno
We became one gender.
As we fell to our knees in prayer for strength,
We became one faith.
As we whispered or shouted words of encouragement,
We spoke one language.
As we gave our blood in lines a mile long,
We became one body.
As we mourned together the great loss
We became one family.
As we cried tears of grief and loss
We became one soul.
As we retell with pride of the sacrifice of heroes
We become one people. |
